Daegan Smith was here on 17th May

Add to Google Reader or Homepage

I attended Daegan Smith seminar yesterday organised by OnlineIncomeHub, local support for Success University. It was an eye-opening presentation by a 26 years old who is on his way to million dollar income. Imagine getting 20 over checks monthly amounting to $30K - $50k and he has 6000 downlines in Success University. How about getting an income he is receiving right now? I want that, don't you?

What I want to bring across in his 2 hours speech is not flaunting the amount he earns monthly or how many downlines he has right now in Success University. What I want to impress upon everyone is his perserverance, determination and never quit attitudes towards his online business venture. Before June 2005 when he came across Success University, he joined numerous online business adopting many strategies to promote his products. He tried cold callings, buying leads but months after months, his effort was not paying him what he deserved. Now doubt, he made some money from his mlm business, pyramid business and affiliate marketing, but it was simply insufficient. He never gave up and continued to read and listen to personal development and marketing programs. To date, he still spends thousands on personal development products to constantly improve himself.

Master your life. Forget the rest.

 Subscribe in a reader

I have been living in vain for years and the recent years, I start to learn how to master my life and not live for others. I actually allowed others' experiences become my reality. I have seen success and accomplishment which was deemed impossible in the past. Now, I take charge of my destiny. If I can, you can too.

Belief is the key to Potential Power

When we believe that something is possible, we will summon all the resources within and around us have to support that belief. We will open the tap to our creativity, energy and resources.

Does this mean that we will produce the exact result we envisioned? Not all the time. Still, having a belief of possibility will allow us to produce results far beyond what we can achieve than compared to having no belief to begin with.

Our beliefs not only affect our performance and results, they also affect the people we interact with as well. As a teacher, parent or boss, the beliefs you have about your students, children and employees will affect how you treat them, how they respond, ultimately resulting in their performance.

Have you ever heard of the Pygmalion effect? This psychological phenomenon was first presented by Robert Merton, a professor of sociology at Columbia University in 1957. It is about how our expectations of other people can create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The study involved a teacher who was instructed to teach a new class of gifted students for the school year. In truth, these students had been tested and found to be of low I.Q. Moreover, they had behavioral problems.

Sure enough, when she started teaching, the students started misbehaving not caring to learn or respond. Because she believed they were students with high IQ, she figured that she was the cause of the problem, not the students!

She started to take responsibility for their misbehavior and disinterest in learning. She reflected that it could be due to her teaching style being too boring not stimulating enough to capture the attention of these gifted, demanding children.

Experimenting and changing the way she taught, she started to encourage them, arouse their curiosity, challenging them with games and activities, nurturing them along the whole process. The more she treated them like gifted students, the more the students responded.

At the end of the school year, the academic grades of the students jumped tremendously. And when retested, their IQs measured a 20-30 point increase on average.

She literally created gifted students! (Think of how supposedly slow learners languishing and underperforming because of uninspiring teachers?)

In his work called 'Social Theory and Social Structure', Merton said the phenomenon occurs when "a false definition of the situation evokes a new behavior which makes the original false conception come true."

In other words, once an expectation is set, even if it isn't accurate, we tend to act in ways consistent with that expectation. Often and surprisingly, the result is that the expectation, as if by magic, comes true.

At the same time, if we believe that a particular goal or desire is beyond our reach we shut out all possibility of ever achieving it. Choose empowering beliefs, beliefs that will drive us forward calling forth the inexhaustible resources we all possess, turning on the tap of our potential power.

Discover your Core Desire

To succeed in any endeavour, it is not the 'what', 'when' or 'how' that is going to affect your success. It is your 'why' which will propel you to your success. Discover your core desire is the key factor to your success. Below are some questions that can help you dig into your inner self to discover your core desires.
Be truthful to yourself, follow your heart and spend at least half an hour to answer the below questions.
(1) What would I love to do if I had no obligations? If only I had more time?
(2) What makes me very happy? What makes me laugh?
(3) What tugs my heart or stir my emotion? What am I aiming for?
(4) What do I want with or from my spouse and children?
(5) What I used to do that I can't do now?
(6) If I didn't have to worry about money, what would I do now?

Is it lucky to have a rich dad ?

Recently, I read an interesting article and it left me ponder over a while. It narrates a rich man who is working in an investment firm and has been earning hundred of millions for his firm. Much less to say, his annual income can easily amount to a 5 millions. I am sure this figure is going to be an envy from many. He lives in a bungalow situate in a hot district for the wealthy and he has four luxurious car seperately owned by his wife, son, daughter and himself. Just the maintenance fee, insurance and petrol for his son and daughter's car, each can easily reach $3000 per month. His son and daughter are now still in college and yet they are already spending thousands of money per month. Are they going to depend on their dad forever? Are they able to sustain this lifestyle with their job after they graduate? To make it worse, what if their dad loses his job in the investment firm one day? Can his dad's wealth sustain the whole family's lifestyle forever? I am beginning to wonder whether I should feel envy or sad for them.

How can you fail with Google Adwords if you follow this?

Hi friends,

Today, I read an article on how to succeed with Google Adwords and I find it very useful to those who intent to sell your products using Google Adwords advertising. I see from the advertisements listed in the Google website and Yahoo website that a lot who advertise are not doing it effectively. As a result, this may lead to losing a substantial amount of money before you even make any sales. In fact, the most important tactic of using Adwords to advertise is on the choice of your keywords. The problem of too many is that they tend to use a broad number of keywords. This is indeed the normal mentality of human who like to associate to the more the merrier mindset. Well, what can I say is that if you adopt this mentality, you have to prepare to lose your capital. And that is the reason why a lot quit after losing lots of money advertising using Adwords.

There is always a technique of any advertising method. In Adwords, the choice of keywords you select is pertinent to the sales of your product. Be specific with your choice of keywords because your chances of attracting the right customer are higher than using many general keywords. For instance, you may be selling a Samsung handphone online. Person A may use handphone as his keyword while person B use Samsung handphone N75. At first, person B may seem to be too narrow with his choice but in the long run, he is going to get lots of potential traffic with the intent of buying this model handphone. Person A may incur losses in the long run as his keyword is too broad and may appear as long as anyone types any models of handphone on the search link.
